Vice President Leni Robredo was interviewed about her views on President Duterte's leadership, especially on what would she do after her resignation as Housing Secretary.
In an interview with Rappler, Leni was asked , How can you expect the unified voices when you will not expect to get support from the President?
Robredo reponded: "Ito talaga yun! Ako kasi...We have seen in the past five months that the President has backed down on several decisions and I think it is still worth a try, kapag hindi siya nakinig, ibang usapan na yun," Robredo stated.
Asked if the President will not listen, she said: "Pag kasi hindi siya nakinig, then the fight will be against him already... Kasi hindi pa naman natin sinusubukan na magkaisa tayo para pakinggan tayo. Baka he thinks... it's a very small percentage lang naman of the population who think that way. Dapat ipakita natin sa kanya na mali siya dun, na hindi lang ito small percentage of the population pero marami actually yung ganito ang pakiramdam kaya pakinggang mo kami."
Robredo has opposed key policies and decisions of the administration, such as the burial of late strongman Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
