Senate Justice Committee Chairman Dick Gordon lashed back Senator Antonio Trillanes after the former called the committee's report on extrajudicial killings 'a piece of garbage.'
In an interview, Gordon had expressed an apology to his fellow senators for Trillanes earlier statement.
“I’m sorry that he said that about his fellow senators. I don’t know where he comes from and he calls hard work garbage,” he said.
Gordon added that Trillanes cannot call the report as ‘garbage’ just because he didn't like the result of the investigation.
He also lambasted Trillanes for his loose tongue, and attributed his remark to his lack of law education background, saying that if the senator want to prove something, he must show something convincing to the committee.
“Maybe sa kanya hindi lang mapaunlakan ang gusto niyang palabasin. Hindi kasi abogado eh. Kung gusto mong maipalabas kailangan mapatunayan mo. Kung di mo mapatunayan ‘wag mong sasabihing garbage.. Ito nga sasabihin ko sa kanya, it takes one to know one.” stressed Gordon.
During the committee report, Gordon slammed Trillanes and De Lima for walking out of the hearings, noting that 'A senator doesn’t do that.'
Meanwhile, there are also alleged state sponsored killings of drug suspects that made Trillanes disappointed.
